Guest House 1950, the city of Alagirsky region

Guest house 1950 is located 80 km away from Vladikavkaz, in the picturesque and hardly inaccessible mountains of the Tsey gorge.
The name 1950 – indicates the height above sea level where the guest house is located.
This designation says a lot: the height of almost 2 km above sea level in Tsey provides a special microclimate created by thin air, coniferous forest and other mountain plants, which is healing for human health. The rest rest in such conditions is extremely useful for people with poor health, diseases of the cardiovascular system, lung diseases, etc.
The project of the hotel was created by St. Petersburg architect Alexander Kopp.

A modern hotel, stylish and cozy with unobtrusive mountain views. The hotel has few rooms, and you feel constantly at one with nature. Delicious breakfasts and dinners. A very friendly administrator, Zaurbek, always helped in all matters. There is a pleasant sauna in the hotel, and I really liked the campfire area where you can warm up in the evening. In the evenings, they turn on movies on the projector.

And an interesting atmosphere (positioning) is an experience that you definitely need to get: from the paved road you drive onto a dirt road leading up through the forest until you climb above the clouds straight to the hotel. The snow-capped rocky mountains are right in front of you, there is nothing around, an atmosphere of isolation and isolation (there are 9 people in the village of Abaitikau). Services include full board (and there will be nowhere to eat), sauna, restaurant, shuttle service; they can also arrange excursions for you. Those who get behind the wheel should keep in mind that it is better to drive the last 3 km in an SUV with all-wheel drive. We were in early May, it was humid, and I had a front-wheel drive crossover, so I had to work hard. Sometimes cars get in there, but I wouldn't do that - there's a chance of puncturing the crankcase, ripping the tire, and not getting up at all on a wet primer. When going down, I punched the plastic bottom guard twice (I have the entire weight of the car in front and the car is nodding off). There is a transfer on pradiks (Lexuses more precisely), it is better to book it.

That feeling when you want to write a good review to thank the hosts and staff for a great stay... But I don't want to either, because people will read it, they will come, and next time there will simply be no places in the hotel :))

In short: one of the best hotels I've been to (and there's a lot to compare it with, I've traveled quite a lot, from New Zealand to California). Homely comfort and excellent service in the midst of magnificent nature.

A bunch of nice optional little things, ranging from stylish lamps in the rooms and ending with a welcome stack of some local tincture and three varieties of condensed milk for breakfast. There is a trampoline and a rope park for children, and walks through the pine forest and a terrace for adults, the views from which will blow up your Instagram)

We only had a couple of nights, I wanted to stay for a month. We will definitely come again.

P.S. On the website, in the description of the road to the hotel, for some reason they write not to listen to the navigator, but Yandex led us exactly to the hotel, without any mistakes.
But the description doesn't lie about the quality of the road, you need a car with high ground clearance.

MANY thanks to the hotel. I can't put into words how comfortable, cozy and delicious we were. The clean, cozy room, the views are just WOW. I came with my husband to celebrate my doctor's day and we just got into a fairy tale!!! Albina, the administrator, is just van love, Saurbeg is all well-being and benevolence. Robert, with whom we went on an excursion, is just space. Guys, thank you so much for your hospitality and desire to make your guests' stay as comfortable as possible.
To all those who write negative reviews, I would like to say that I wish you to learn how to get emotions from rest, and not look for flaws in the roughness of the mountain road, food (which is delicious and large portions), rooms, etc. We went for the views, the comfort and the stars. We got it all with a vengeance. I was so impressed by nature that sometimes tears flowed from my eyes. We will definitely come back here with the children in August. Wait for us. My wife says that she wants to cry from such impressions (we went on an excursion with Robert today). And I explain to her that these are energy, places of power, etc. Even on our journey there were interesting signs) but I won't write about it anymore) a lot, and many don't understand)
This is our first time here. We'll have to come back in August now) because now we want to show it to the children. We did not arrive at a 5* hotel. And we need to understand this adequately . But I would put 100 out of 5 (As one girl wrote) for such an attitude towards the guests)I want to say a lot about negative reviews, but I won't. God is your judge.

Our stay in this mountain hotel exceeded all our expectations! Stunning nature all around — majestic mountains, clean air and a peaceful atmosphere. The room is cozy and comfortable, with a magnificent view!!

I would especially like to mention the homemade food, which was simply delicious! Each dish was prepared with love, and we enjoyed the flavors of the traditional cuisine.

One of the highlights of our stay was a master class on cooking Ossetian pies. It was not only informative, but also very exciting! We learned the secrets of cooking this dish and were able to try our hand at cooking. The pies turned out to be incredibly delicious!
I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to enjoy the beauty of the mountains and delicious food!

Guest House 1950 - everything is perfect. Here you can combine active and passive recreation - with an excess of energy and optimal weather conditions, rush alone uphill or use the services of a guide, with a dead social battery - relax in the silence and tranquility of the surrounding mountains of amazing scale and the company of Mikhail the cat, which it is impossible not to mention in the review. The food is delicious and satisfying, and you can forget about hunger and the need to satisfy it while you rest. The staff is friendly and helpful. The house and grounds are in order. There is a campfire area - firewood, lighting, matches, etc., everything will be provided. There is a shared guitar, and every evening the staff actively asks the guests about the desired movie. The SPA area is located on the ground floor - like the rest of the space, it is decorated with attention to detail. All the advantages are clearly incalculable. The 1950 Guest House is a place to return to! From the very threshold, having changed into slippers, you feel like you are not in a hotel, but visiting dear friends. A place of comfort and care. The staff deserves special thanks: they are very attentive, polite and sincerely caring. I would especially like to mention the case when I lost my sunglasses, asked the reception about the purchase, and was offered to use my glasses without any additional expenses. This gesture showed true hospitality.
The territory is well maintained, and the surrounding splendor of majestic mountains with stunning views of the Calper range is a sight that remains in the heart forever.
The restaurant has always been pleased with delicious, hearty and home-cooked food.
The 1950 Guest House is a place that I will be happy to recommend to all my friends and where I dream of returning to again!

A beautiful guest house, we got there on a transfer from home, I didn't dare to drive in my car without driving skills on such a road. Polite staff, very tasty food. I was pleased to have 2 blankets on the double bed. Thanks a lot for that, it's rare to see this kind of thing. There is a place to walk on the territory, there are many view swings and benches.
